‘Early bird gets the worm’, says woman among first served at KFC Half-Way-Tree
KINGSTON, Jamaica — Marjorie Laird, one of the first customers to get through at the Half-Way-Tree location in KFC’s 50th anniversary special on Wednesday, says she is proud and excited to be one of the first to get served.
“Mi feel good, them say early bird catches the first worm, so that’s what I did. I take mi grandson to school and I say I coming to get the special today. Mi love KFC chicken. I feel proud. I feel good because I come out of the crowd and I am not in the quarrelling and the fighting. Mi neighbour ask me to buy for them cause them can’t come,” Laird said.
She went home with two trays of drinks and a big bag.
In celebration of their anniversary, customers who purchase a big deal will get a meal deal for free. However, only five meal deals are allowed per customer.
Customers across the island flocked to several KFC locations early this morning to take advantage of the anniversary special.
