After delivering what his team has described as a mesmerising performance at the sold-out Rebel Night Club in Toronto, Canada, last weekend, Alkaline is getting ready to ignite his local fan base when he returns on July 5 for the New Rules Festival in Trelawny.

With anticipation building since New Rules’ debuted in April at the Wembley Arena to some 12,000 fans, Toronto followed up with a high-energy set captivating over 4,500 fans,” the artiste’s team shared in a release.

Outlining that the venue reached its maximum capacity, the team said the energy was electric as the entertainer thrilled fans with a slew of his most noted hits.

“When he finally took the stage, the cheers erupted, and the night transformed into a colourful explosion of sound and movement. Alkaline’s high-energy set had fans on their feet, showcasing not only his infectious charisma but also his dynamic stage presence that kept the audience engaged throughout the performance,” the team shared. “With each song he belted out, the connection between Alkaline and his fans deepened, as they sang along to his greatest hits.”

With approximately 15 days remaining before the highly anticipated Jamaica leg of New Rules, show organisers say Alkaline’s captivating performance in Canada has set an exciting precedent for what fans can expect.

“New Rules Canada was an epic event that left fans feeling great,” said Kereena Beckford, Alkaline’s manager. “The palpable sense of community and shared joy among the audience — a testament to the emotional connection between Alkaline and his fans — underscored the evening’s significance. In a recent interview with the Jamaica Observer Tamika West, marketing manager for Worthy Park Group which distributes Rum Bar Rum products — the event’s title sponsor — said the brand is overjoyed at its ability to offer support to the festival’s organisers.
