Boyz make one change to starting line-up against Panama in Gold Cup
KINGSTON, Jamaica- Kasey Palmer, who came off the bench in Jamaica’s loss to Guatemala in their opening Concacaf Gold Cup game last week, has been named in the starting team for their crucial Group C game against Panama at Q2 Stadium in Austin, Texas, on Tuesday.
Palmer, who was suspended for the win over Guadeloupe, is the lone change to the team, replacing Dwayne Atkinson in the game that Jamaica likely must win if they are to hope to advance in the tournament.
Jamaica beat Panama in their most recent meeting in the Nations League third place play-offs, but the Central American team have won their two games played at the tournament and need just a draw to top the group and advance.
Leon Bailey and Jonathon Russell, who scored in the 2-1 win over Guadeloupe, retain their place along with Demarai Gray and striker Warner Brown.
Starting team:
Andre Blake, Dexter Lembikisa, Richard King, Joel Latibeaudiere, Amari’i Bell, Ethan Pinnock, Leon Bailey, Demarai Gray, Jonathan Russell, Kasey Palmer, Warner Brown
