St Ann electrician charged with shop breaking and larceny
ST ANN, Jamaica – A 45-year-old electrician has been charged with shop breaking and larceny following an incident at a business establishment in Brown’s Town, St Ann.
Burchell Thompson, otherwise known as ‘Craig’ of Lower Buxton, Orange Hill, in the parish, has been charged with shop breaking and larceny following the incident on Top Road, Brown’s Town between Wednesday, June 25, and Thursday, June 26.
Reports from the Brown’s Town police are that sometime during the period, Thompson, along with his accomplices, broke into the business establishment and stole an air compressor, a chainsaw, weed wacker, power washer, generator and two wheelbarrows all valued at $366,359.
Following the theft, a report was made to the police, and an investigation was launched into the matter. Thompson was arrested on Monday, and later charged after he allegedly confessed to the crime.
His court date is being finalised.
