Fumes lounge to mark anniversary with 6 events

In just one year, Fumes Shisha Lounge & Grill has redefined what nightlife means in Jamaica. The brand blends global inspiration with authentic local vibes to create a space that’s more than a lounge; it’s an experience.

Now, the brand is inviting the public to celebrate with Fumes Week, a six-night anniversary event series running from July 22 to July 27, under the theme Arabian Nights: A Cultural Crossover.

Over the past year, Fumes has quietly become the new heartbeat of Kingston’s nightlife, a curated experience where shisha, sound, style, and community meet.

A symbol of connection and self-expression across the city, the Knutsford Boulevard-based establishment is now home away from home for thrill seekers and cultural connoisseurs alike.

“Fumes was always meant to be more than a lounge. It’s a culture and, as our slogan properly expresses, it’s an Xperience,” says the Fumes Marketing & Public Relations Coordinator Geovani Lewin. “Fumes Week is about celebrating that our patrons, our pulse, and our progress.”

During the week, patrons will get a glimpse and taste of the business’s core identity — cultural fusion, nightlife entertainment, and community connection.

• Tuesday, July 22 – Karaoke & Cocktails: The fan-favourite gets a glow-up with genre rounds, crowd challenges, and a midnight DJ afterparty

• Wednesday, July 23 – Mediterranean Night: Henna, belly dancers, a full mezze menu, and a TV prize for best dressed make this a cultural style statement

• Thursday, July 24 – Acoustic Night: Soulful and stripped down, this live music lounge experience features reggae and indie talents with the 1Lynk Band.

• Friday, July 25 – Freedom Friday: Middle Eastern Mashup: An electric blend of Arabic percussion and Jamaican dance floor energy where dessert meets dancehall.

• Saturday, July 26 – Skettel Summer: A partnership with acclaimed creative director, Bootleg Rocstar, this event is a nod to Kingston’s unapologetic boldness and Fumes’ commitment to keeping the culture alive.

• Sunday, July 27 – The Fumes Met Brunch: A black-and-gold themed brunch, the VIP lounge renamed in honour of the late Ifidel Willians, and tokens of appreciation for loyal patrons.
