Streetz #FitCheck

At Streetz Festival, fashion isn’t just part of the experience; it is the experience! And, with Popcaan, a dancehall artiste unruly in music and style, scheduled to headline the August 30 staging at the National Stadium, fans will be stepping out in style.

Whether you’re a Streetz veteran or attending for the first time, what you wear is your way of reppin’ the culture, and we expect an unspoken fashion showdown across the venue.

Not sure what to wear? We suggest prioritising comfort, while not skimping on style. Think: Casual and cool, with a focus on individuality. Bright colours, bold prints, mesh tops, denim cut-offs, crop tops, statement jewellery, and glistening skin. Red, green, and gold aren’t just eye-catching — they carry meaning, connecting the festival to Africa and the music movement.

For the ladies, this is your moment to embrace the glam street style aesthetic. We recommend rhinestones, sheer panels, metallic boots, body chains, and matching two-piece sets. For the fellas, distressed jeans, designer sneakers, Clarks, statement tees, and rugged accessories set the tone.

And just in case you show up and feel your ‘fit is missing a little something, the Streetz Village — a hub for local vendors, located at the festival entrance — is a great place to pick up last-minute fashion items.
