Still The One

Still The One

For you I give a lifetime of stability

Anything you want of me

Nothing is impossible

For you there are no words or ways to show my love

Or all the thoughts I’m thinking of

For You by Kenny Lattimore

They say you never get a second chance to make a first impression. For midwife Lesley-Ann Williams and entrepreneur David Pryce, one night was all it took. Against the backdrop of a crowded room and the clinking of glasses, an instant attraction took root — one defined by an immediate sense of belonging.

Sparked by a chance meeting in March 2020, at a mutual friend’s function, their chemistry was immediate. From that first introduction, David left a lasting impression on Lesley-Ann.

“My first impression was of someone incredibly personable; I was immediately drawn to his mannerisms. There was an undeniable mutual attraction from that first night,” Lesley-Ann shared with Tuesday Style Vows (TSV).

After exchanging numbers that day, their connection was nurtured through messages amidst the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic. Though life briefly led them down separate paths, they reunited two years later to find the embers of their connection still glowing.

“We finally crossed paths at another function and reconnected instantly. That fluttering feeling wasn’t a moment of uncertainty — it was the realisation that this was love.” Lesley-Ann said.

With the timing finally right, they embraced the opportunity to let their relationship truly flourish. Bound by a connection that felt like fate, they moved toward a shared future when David proposed to Lesley-Ann on May 12, 2024.

“He took me out for a Mother’s Day treat. I had a massage done and after that, while we were having brunch, he surprised me and asked me to marry him,” Lesley-Ann recalled. “I immediately said yes!”

Over a year in the making, their dream wedding unfolded on January 26, 2026 at Boone Hall Oasis in St Andrew, curated by Landmark Events and Essentials.

Lesley-Ann was a picture of elegance as she made her entrance in a bespoke, fully beaded gown by Majestic Bridal and Tux. Escorted up the aisle by her brother, Michael Simpson, to the strains of Major’s This Is Why I Love You, she prepared to pledge her love to her awaiting bridegroom in a ceremony officiated by Pastor Michael Lewis.

The celebration continued at the reception, where dinner was followed by copious toasts. After cutting the three-tier cake by Annette Wright, the newly-weds opened the dance floor to Kenny Lattimore’s
For You, a perfect finale to an unforgettable day.

Lesley-Ann and David spent their honeymoon at Ocean Coral Springs Resort in Trelawny.
