Monday April 6, 2026

Not sure if Page 2 is still basking in the afterglow of the Lost in Time Festival 2026 — a two-day cultural event and concert featuring Jamaica’s leading and rising talent, but Goddess, the latest video drop from the festival co-founder Protoje, one of the most pivotal architects of modern reggae, with dancehall superstar Shenseea has not stopped playing in our heads.

The collaboration celebrating love and the strength, and power of women highlights a softness and beautiful sonic space for both artistes.

“Shenseea was the perfect duet choice for Goddess, as she completely embodies the song’s energy,” says Protoje. “When she heard the vibe, it was an immediate fit… She absolutely nailed it. Expect this to be an anthem for all the goddesses out there.”

For Shenseea, the collaboration felt like a natural creative alignment. “Working with Protoje on this record was a special experience,” she says. “He’s someone who has always represented authenticity in reggae and Jamaican music, so coming together creatively felt very natural. The song has a smooth, soulful energy, and the video really brings that feeling to life.”

Directed by SAMO, the video finds the artistes immersed in Jamaica’s natural settings, sharing relaxed and intimate moments. Goddess appears on Protoje’s upcoming seventh studio album The Art of Acceptance, arriving April 17, 2026 via In.Digg.Nation Collective / Ineffable Records. Produced primarily by longtime collaborator Winta James, the project reflects Protoje’s continued evolution as a songwriter and cultural voice — blending roots- reggae with modern influences while remaining deeply grounded in Jamaica’s musical foundation. The album also features Damian “Jr. Gong” Marley, Stephen Marley, Masicka, Jesse Royal, and Pressure Busspipe.
