Cops get 6pm deadline to charge or release Jahvy Ambassador
KINGSTON, Jamaica — The police are to either charge producer Jahvel “Jahvy Ambassador” Morrison in the shooting incident that took place at the Big Wall after carnival party on Sunday or release him by 6:00 pm on Friday.
The order was handed down when Morrison’s attorney made an application for habeas corpus in the Kingston and St Andrew Parish Court.
Morrison is represented by King’s Counsel Peter Champagnie.
He was taken into police custody in relation to a shooting incident, which occurred at the Ranny Williams Entertainment Centre in St Andrew, and saw three people injured, including podcaster Jhaedee “Jaii Frais” Richards and a United States citizen. One of the victims, who was a member of dancehall artiste 450’s entourage, was critically wounded but survived the attack.
