Irwin Primary seek second win in VMF U-13

Irwin Primary seek second win in VMF U-13

ST JAMES, Jamaica — Irwin Primary will be seeking back-to-back wins when they take on Mt Salem Primary in the second game of a double header of the St James Football Association/Victoria Mutual Foundation Under-13 competition at Wespow Park.

Irwin Primary opened their account with a 2-0 win over Chetwood Primary on Tuesday and will face Mt Salem Primary who will be making their first appearance for the season.

In the opening game set to start at 10:00 am, Tower Hill and Maldon Primary will be seeking their first win when they meet in a Zone A game.

On Thursday, Montego Bay Prep beat new comers Winners Prep 6-0 in their opening game, former champions Catherine Hall beat Lethe Primary 5-0 and Granville Primary beat Glendevon Primary 3-0.

Andrew Daley and Andrew Daley both scored braces for Montego Bay Prep while Mason Smith and Tyler Johnson scored one each.

Semajha Clarke and Joshua Cooker also scored doubles for Catherine Hall while Treshaun Stephenson scored the other goal.

Granville Primary led 1-0 at half time in their game thanks to a fourth minute goal from Junior Samuels while Shaquan Santos scored in the 48th minute and Kejaun Plummer got the third goal two minutes later.

On Wednesday, former champions Barracks Road Primary and Flankers Primary scored wins over Green Pond and DMP Academy respectively.

Levar Level scored both goals for Barracks Road as they beat Geen Pond Primary 2-0.

Jayquan Johnson scored in the eighth minute, Michael Williams scored in the 36th minute, while an own goal in the 56th minute took Flankers to a 3-0 win over DMP Academy.

Howard Cooke Primary and Anchovy High played out a 1-1 draw in their game; Taysean Anderson gave Howard Cooke the lead in the third minute while Alique Cole scored the equaliser in the 24th minute.

Irwin Primary vs Mt Salem Primary — 11:15 pm
