Crawba Genius teams up DJ Mac, Julian Marley for new inspirational single
A new collaboration between producers Crawba Genius and DJ Mac, alongside Julian Marley, aims to do more than climb charts — it seeks to reshape mindsets.
Their single, Give to Life, emerges at a time when messages of intention, purpose, and positivity are resonating deeply across audiences, and the team behind the track is leaning fully into that space.
Rooted in lived experience, the song is described by Marley as a reflection of “everyday life” underscoring the authenticity that drives its message.
For Marley, the intention is clear: Give to Life is about encouraging listeners to remain grounded in purpose while navigating challenges. He emphasises that the goal is to inspire fans to keep pushing — a message that aligns seamlessly with the conscious traditions of reggae music.
Early feedback suggests the song is already striking a chord. According to Marley, responses from both fans and peers have been overwhelmingly positive.
“I think this message is very important, so the inspiration is coming from everyday life experiences. I think we just wanted the fans to be inspired to keep pushing through with their dreams and to keep doing the right thing and keeping true in all righteousness,” he said.
Crawba Genius describes his experience working on the single as spiritual, highlighting that whenever he gets the chance to collaborate on a reggae track it always gives off a higher vibration than any other genre.
“The reception has been good, because I believe the song is something different from what Julian Marley always does. We’re trying to tap into the younger audience, so we added a modern twist to the authentic reggae vibe he usually brings, and it’s doing extremely well; I couldn’t complain. I love reggae, and when I’m producing it it’s a spiritual experience because it’s inspirational music,” the producer said.
Behind the scenes, the collaboration itself is rooted in strong creative synergy. Marley describes working with Crawba Genius and DJ Mac as a seamless process, highlighting both their musical chemistry and their personal bond. Referring to them as “great producers” and “very good bredrens”, he points to a partnership that extends beyond the studio — one built on mutual respect and shared vision.
Crawba Genius shared those sentiments.
“Working with Julian has always been great. I have previous tracks that I’ve produced for him, and it’s always a vibe when we get to join hands and minds. DJ Mac, like myself, is a creative, so we have that in common. He’s one of the producers of our generation that’s really making an impact, and so us joining forces and just adding our special touches to the project, it was a great vibe,” he said.
That unity is already translating into a structured rollout. Marley confirms that a full promotional campaign is underway, spanning multiple platforms and formats to ensure the song reaches a wide and diverse audience.
Fans can also expect visuals to accompany the track, adding another layer to the storytelling and further amplifying its message.
