Jamaican actress Keturah Hamilton stars in drama series ‘Through Thick & Sin’
Through Thick & Sin, a drama series starring Jamaican Keturah Hamilton, is scheduled for release this year.
Hamilton, who plays Naomi, is also the creator and one of the show’s writers.
According to a press release from blexmedia.com, Through Thick & Sin is, “a new vertical drama series directed by Emmy-Nominated writer Patricia Cuffie-Jones. The show is targeting a 2026 release, with distribution details to be announced at a later date.”
Thomasina Gross as Wendy and Tara Joshi, who plays Tiffany, are the other main characters in the series, on which production started in April.
Hamilton, who is from Spanish Town, told the Observer Online that Through Thick & Sin, “Follows the story of three childhood friends, a model, a singer, and an actress whose careers have hit a standstill. Determined to create the lives they believe they deserve, they develop a plan to build a website designed to attract lonely wolves looking for connection, attention, and escape.”
Hamilton shares writing credits with Cuffie-Jones and Stevie Sandoval. Cuffie-Jones has directed television movies such as His, Hers & Ours (starring Taye Diggs) and Brewster’s Millions: Christmas.
Migrating to the United States in her teens, Hamilton worked as a model before getting into acting. She has appeared in New Amsterdam, an NBC medical drama; Gaslit, a movie starring Sean Penn; and Nanny, a movie that starred Leslie Uggams, best known for playing Kizzy in Roots.
Through the resilient Naomi, Hamilton says she gets to express her Jamaican roots in “authentic fashion”. She added that having multiple roles in Through Thick & Sin was a creative boon.
“I was fortunate to land the role not only as an actress, but also as the creator and one of the writers of the project alongside Patricia Cuffie-Jones and Stevie Sandoval. Bringing this story to life from the ground up has been an incredible experience,” Hamilton said.
Through Thick & Sin is produced by Phillmonaco Productions, a Los Angeles-based company.
