Utility pole resting on house removed after months of complaints
Tell Claudienne
Dear Claudienne,
I am reaching out for your assistance with a lingering issue at my home in a St James community. Since Hurricane Melissa a utility pole has been resting against my house. Both Flow and JPS have informed me that they don’t own the pole, yet Flow’s equipment remains attached. I’d appreciate your help in finding a resolution to this problem.

Dear DS
In a phone call on Monday morning May 18,
Tell Claudienne asked you if there was any identifying information or marks on the pole and you said you would check.
After checking, you then sent the column the following
WhatsApp message:
“I went on top of the roof and took a closer look and saw that it’s a Digicel pole. I took some pictures of the pole and I am sending you the pictures.”
Tell Claudienne has been in communication with both Digicel and Flow on the matter.
On Thursday morning (May 21) Digicel told the column that it’s crew came by your premises earlier in the week, established that it was a FLOW pole, and that the bottom of the pole was damaged. Digicel said that it communicated with FLOW and that steps are being taken to remove the pole that was resting on your house.
During a phone call on Thursday morning (May 21) with
Tell Claudienne you excitedly said “a truck with poles is coming up the hill”. And on Thursday afternoon you informed the column that “FLOW has removed the utility pole that was resting on my house.”
We wish you all the best.
