Drake rides Billboard charts with with Jamaica-connected tracks
Ran To Atlanta by Drake featuring Future and Molly Santana (from his current #1 Billboard 200 album Iceman) which features a production credit by Montego Bay-based Mxssivh, New Bestie (from Maid of Honor, also credited to Mxssivh), and Amazing Shape featuring Popcaan have all debuted on multiple Billboard charts.
Drake’s dominance of the charts has seen 42 songs from his three albums (the other being Habibti) debut on the Billboard Hot 100 — the most for any artiste in a single week.
Ran to Atlanta debuts at #2 on Streaming Songs and Global 200, #8 on Global Excluding US, #2 on the Hot 100, #2 on R&B/Hip Hop Songs, R&B/Hip Hop Streaming Songs, Rap Streaming Songs, Rap Digital Song Sales, #35 on R&B/Hip Hop Airplay, #8 on R&B/Hip Hop Digital Song Sales, and #22 on Rap Airplay.
New Bestie enters Global 200 at #125, #72 on the Hot 100, #40 on R&B/Hip Hop Songs, #12 on Hot R&B Songs, and R&B Streaming Songs.
Meanwhile, Amazing Shape, which gives Popcaan his very first entry on the Billboard Hot 100 (it enters at #76) also shows up on Global 200 at #154.
Shenseea also makes moves on Billboard, with the Daddy Yankee collaboration titled Echo (FIFA World Cup 2026) entering Rhythmic Airplay at #36.
This is Shenseea’s fifth time charting on this particular Billboard listing. Her previous entries were Sugar Sweet with Mariah Carey and Khelani (2025), R U That featuring 21 Savage (2022), Work Me Out featuring Wizkid (2024), and last year’s chart-topper Shake it to the Max (Fly) remix with Moliy, Silent Addi and Skillibeng.
Shaggy’s Looking for Love featuring Robin Thicke makes an upward movement on Rhythmic Airplay, stepping up from #34 to #32 in its fifth week.
Over on the Billboard Reggae Albums chart, The Elovaters score their sixth entry as Shark Belly Motel arrives at #5, the highest debut so far this year for a reggae album on this particular Billboard chart.
The Boston-based reggae/rock band formed in 2014 topped the chart twice. Defy Gravity from 2018 and Defy Dub from 2020 rose to pole positions. The other entries are 2017’s The Cornerstone, 2019’s Live @Sugarshack Sessions (EP) and 2023’s Endless Summer.
Bob Marley and the Wailers hang on to the #1 spot for a 332nd week with Legend, with Dutty Classics Collection by Sean Paul, Best of Shaggy: The Boombastic Collection by Shaggy, and World on Fire by Stick Figure holding down the #2, #3 and #4 positions, respectively.
UB40’s Greatest Hits dips to #6, Sean Paul’s Dutty Rock, slides down to #7, while Wisdom by Stick Figure backtracks to #8 and its Set in Stone is #9.
Exodus by Bob Marley and the Wailers rests at #10.
Moving now to regional charts, Looking Lovely by Shaggy featuring Robin Thicke spends a second week at #1 on the New York Reggae chart. In the meantime, Don’t Have to Ask by Christopher Martin bolts from #13 to #8, Sexy Lady by Ed Robinson moves from #12 to #10, and Yesterday Once More by Steele improves, moving from #14 to #12.
Don’t Keep Me Waiting by Lady G debuts at #28, while Stress Free by Norman Espeut arrives at #30.
On the South Florida Reggae chart, Have a Little Faith by Willie Stewart and Friends clocks four weeks in pole position. World Peace by Brigadeer Jerry opens at #23.
So Long by Neto Yuth featuring Anthony B takes over the #1 spot on the Reggae North Canadian Top 20 Reggae and Dancehall chart.
Chant by Paris Ivy inches up to #2, Feels Like A Movie by Celena falls to #3, Cucumba by Tugstar remains at #4, and Student of a Broken Heart by Exco Levi inches up to #5.
The sole new entry is Do You by Fara and Tugstar, which starts at #20.
Butterflies by Buju Banton takes over the #1 spot on the Voice of The Caribbean Florida Reggae & Dancehall Top 20 Radio Singles chart.
Dancehall Nice by Shaggy, Beres Hammond, and Dexta Daps, rises from #7 to #4, Slip N Slide by Masicka storms its way up from #8 to #5, while Bun by Shaggy enters at #18.
Gasolina by Xyclone and Tifa debuts at #19.
And, finally, on the Rebel Vibez Top 10 Canadian Reggae chart, Forevermore by Jurney Star takes over the #1 spot, with Shine by Elaine Shepherd at #2. Rise Up by Belinda Brady remains at #3, Ten Foot Wall by Tasha T is #4, and Yesterday Once More by Steele is #5.
