Dancehall artiste Finga shot in Downtown Kingston
KINGSTON, Jamaica—Recording artist Finga was reportedly shot Thursday night in Downtown Kingston.
The incident reportedly occurred around 10:00 pm. Reports are that the 30-year-old Dancehall artiste whose given name is Ramone Simmons, was outside at the front of his home when a car approached and asked for him by name before gunshots came blaring from the vehicle.
The artiste was allegedly shot six times all over his body before being rushed to the Kingston Public Hospital where he is currently in a stable condition undergoing treatment.
“I am grateful to still be here. I am in pain but my focus will be on recovering,” Finga said.
The artiste who recently peaked at #8 on the YouTube Trending charts with his single, Step, is also known for viral tracks such as; Bingo Mi Bingo and Spend Time.
