Popular gospel recording artiste and minister, DJ Nicholas, has released his sixth studio effort titled No Distortion.

The 10-track project was released via On The Shout Inc.

A number of producers contributed to the project, among them Canute Neil Ellis (who served as quality control engineer for all of the tracks), Trinidadian Damian Robert, Joey 2 Kool from Guyana, J Crazy, DJ Tropical, and Kevin Butler of Lazarus Music.

“The album opens with a song called Come Home, which is a call to backsliders. Track two,
Come 2 D Lord, is an invitation for sinners to repent. Track three, Never the Same, is a testimony that once someone encounters Jesus Christ they cannot remain the same person. Ultimately, every song on the album is part of an evangelistic effort to point people to Christ,” DJ Nicholas explained about the project which was completed in less than a year.

No Distortion features collaborators with Childlike CiCi, a hip hop gospel artiste; Christian-reggae artiste Cario Young; and L’Horace.

Some of the tracks featured include Back 2 D Owner (reimagined with Childlike CiCi),
One Way with Cario Young, The Source (featuring L’Horace), Prayer Meeting (2026 remastered version), Peter Peter (Symphony), Damascus and Ends a D Earth.

In an interview with the Jamaica Observer, L’Horace spoke about working with DJ Nicholas.

“I have tremendous respect for him, not only as an artiste, but for what he has accomplished and the consistency of his music and ministry over the years. What I really enjoyed about the collaboration was how naturally it came together. We each brought our own style, energy, and experiences to the record, and I think those differences complemented each other really well. At the core, though, we share something much bigger — our faith in God,” said L’Horace.

Trinidadian producer Damion Roberts also shared his experience working on the project.

“[DJ Nicholas] brings a strong sense of purpose, creativity, and passion to the music. From the beginning, there was a great level of mutual respect and an openness to explore different ideas. We wanted to create something that was musically strong while still carrying a meaningful message. He has a unique ability to bring energy and authenticity to a song, and being part of that process pushed me creatively as well… I’m grateful to have been part of such a special project,” Roberts shared.

Producer and mixing engineer Canute Neil Ellis described working on No Distortion as a truly dynamic experience.

“From the start, we both knew that this album was going to push boundaries. DJ Nicholas is always on the cutting edge, blending lyrical depth with a strong gospel foundation, with biblical truths, and that really aligned with what I love to do… We had a structured vision, we fine-tuned everything down to the last detail, and DJ Nicholas placed a lot of trust in me to make it all come together,” Ellis stated.

Pleased with the substance of the end result, DJ Nicholas said: “I try to remain consistent with the theme of my previous projects such as Shout, Loud, Volume, and Decibels.
No Distortion has a dual meaning. Sonically, the album is professionally mixed and mastered by a Grammy-winning engineer. Spiritually, the message is undiluted and as biblically accurate and sound as possible. No scriptures are distorted,” said the Holy Ghost Gym recording artiste.
