DRIP takes IV hydration mobile
Jamaica’s first mobile IV hydration business is bringing intravenous therapy directly to clients, with DRIP Mobile IV Hydration.
Founded by entrepreneur Liana Singh, the Kingston-based mobile business is targeting consumers looking for convenient hydration, recovery and wellness services. The idea came partly from Singh’s own experience accessing IV therapy while living in New York. After returning to Jamaica, she found that getting an IV meant travelling to a doctor’s office, prompting her to consider bringing the service directly to clients. She said the idea was reinforced while attending Sean Paul’s video shoot for Do It, where Chi Ching Ching was also present.

“I was like, I should have gotten my IV before I came, and I wish they came to me, and they were like, ‘Why don’t you just do it?’ And I was like, wow, I could just do it myself,” she said.
The suggestion quickly became a business idea. The following day, Singh contacted her friend Dr Khalia-Roy Smith, who came on board as medical director, and the two decided to move forward with the concept. Within a week of the idea being conceptualised, the business was official. Prior to launching the Jamaican business, Singh operated Mysa Med Spa in Dallas with her sister. The duo are now preparing to open another location in Miami.

“As we prepare to open our doors in Miami, it felt like the right time for me to take what I’ve learned in the wellness space and build something of my own in Jamaica,” she told the Jamaica Observer.
IV therapy involves delivering fluids directly into the bloodstream. DRIP’s services focus on hydration, recovery and wellness, with treatments provided under the guidance of its medical team. Recently, DRIP served at the Best Weekend Ever party series in St Ann, providing hydration and recovery drips only. While there is an opportunity in the events and entertainment space, DRIP aims to be more than a hangover recovery service, targeting busy professionals, athletes, travellers and people recovering after physically demanding activities or long weekends, as well as bridal parties and other groups. DRIP can also accommodate clients with more specific needs, including pregnant clients or individuals experiencing symptoms such as migraines, where clinically appropriate and following an individual assessment.

“Ultimately, our niche is the person who wants access to medically guided hydration and recovery without unnecessarily disrupting their day,” she said.
The longer-term plan is to establish teams in other parishes, allowing DRIP to serve clients outside Kingston on a more regular basis. The company hopes to begin that expansion within the next six months, moving beyond large events to cater to regular day-to-day needs across the island.
