With champion jockey Raddesh “Sneaky Fox” Roman still sidelined, title-chasing rider Tevin Foster has a clear opportunity to extend his lead in the jockeys’ standings on Saturday, August 22, 2026.

Foster currently leads the jockeys’ championship race 62-59, three winners clear of Roman. With Roman set to miss another raceday and leading apprentice Tajay Suckoo also sidelined, Foster has been handed seven rides on the 11-race card at Caymanas Park.

He will ride Irish Wish in race 1, Global Pursuit in race 5, Maybelle in race 6, Secret Sensation in race 7, Victorious Links in race 8, Cosalivin in race 10, and Kwaku in the 11th and final race.

Roman’s absence stems from a fall on July 25 aboard Midnight Galaxy. Doctors confirmed no broken bones but advised rest for shoulder pain.

Suckoo is out after suffering a concussion in a fall on August 6 aboard Badbadtanesha.

Both riders have been spotted back in morning exercise but are taking extra time to ensure full recovery.

For Foster, the timing is ideal. He has been in good form this season and now gets more opportunities with two of his main rivals out of the saddle.

With just over four months remaining in the season, every winner counts. A strong Saturday could see Foster turn a narrow three-win advantage into real breathing room in the title race.
