Flow restores services following network vandalism
KINGSTON, Jamaica—Flow Jamaica says it has fully restored services to all customers affected by Wednesday’s act of vandalism against its network infrastructure which impacted residents of Stony Hill, Red Hills and surrounding communities.
According to Flow in a statement, the incident caused extensive damage to several fibre lines, disrupting broadband, landline, and cable services. Following intensive repair work by Flow’s technical teams, all affected services are now fully operational.
Flow expressed appreciation to its technical teams, who worked with urgency to repair the damaged infrastructure and restore connectivity as quickly and safely as possible.
The company is again calling for stronger laws, meaningful penalties and consistent enforcement to deter the deliberate destruction of critical telecommunications infrastructure.
Flow is also encouraging members of the public to report suspicious activity around telecommunications equipment to the nearest police station.
