An Olympic salute
Dear Editor,
Dervan Malcolm was an altruistic human being and an extraordinary professional who I first met during my term of office as president of the Caribbean Confederation of Credit Unions. On media platforms, he gifted selflessly to the credit union movement a genuine voice that articulated its vision with conviction, a good heart that gave its people a defining beat, and an amiable spirit that infused in credit unionists a greater sense of purpose.
Though not an Olympian, he is deserving of an Olympic salute as he embodied the values of respect, friendship, and excellence.
Malcolm battled this mortal life to preserve his years, but now he rests where strain and stress are no more for his soul, and there his eternal life is experiencing the beauty of his peace.
