Carnival energy will return to the streets of Kingston when Night Carnival Jamaica takes over Ocean Boulevard today, for an overnight celebration of soca, dancehall, Monday wear and carnival culture.

Running from 9:00pm to 4:00am, the road march-inclusive experience will transform the Kingston Waterfront under this staging’s theme, Purple Reign. Patrons are being invited to attend in purple Monday wear or carnival costumes as Night Carnival recreates the movement, music and freedom of the road outside Jamaica’s traditional carnival season.

Night Carnival combines the spectacle of a street festival with the energy of a late-night party. The experience incorporates trucks, costumes, the Rudeboy Road March and a musical blend of soca and dancehall, giving carnival enthusiasts another opportunity to take over the streets months after Jamaica’s April celebrations.

Providing the soundtrack for the night will be Bloodline Franco, Kevi the Kinetic, Cyclone, March In, Carlos A-Team, Fyahman, DJ Lantern MD, DJ Mindless and Zess, who will keep patrons moving throughout the seven-hour experience.

“The Rudeboy Road March will be one of the major highlights of the night. Patrons will get to move through the streets behind the music trucks, surrounded by costumes, purple Monday wear and the energy that makes carnival such a powerful experience. We want people to come out with their crews ready to dance, follow the trucks and enjoy a full night of soca, dancehall, colour and carnival on the Kingston Waterfront,” said Mikhail DeGale, Managing Director of Fete Republic.

The September staging also forms part of Night Carnival’s wider 2026 journey. Following Jamaica, Purple Reign heads to Miami on Friday, October 9, before Night Carnival becomes one of the five experiences presented during Republic Weekend in Ocho Rios from October 16–19.

General admission tickets for the Kingston staging are available for $5,000, while drink-inclusive VIP tickets are available online for $10,000. The VIP experience includes select alcoholic beverages, a limited-edition Night Carnival tumbler, dedicated express entry, VIP parking and access to an exclusive VIP area.
