Arsenal eye sixth straight win, Man United host City in Derby thriller

The Premier League is turning up the heat this weekend with two blockbuster fixtures and plenty of value on the JustBet board.

Defending champions Arsenal head to the Stadium of Light on Saturday to face a Sunderland side hoping to turn home advantage into an upset, before the spotlight shifts to Old Trafford on Sunday for the season’s first Manchester Derby. With the Gunners chasing a sixth straight win and both United and City looking to make an early statement, there’s drama, goals, and big betting opportunities across the card.

Event #1 – English Premier League

Sunderland vs Arsenal

Saturday – 2:00 PM

Can Sunderland Stop the Gunners?

Sunderland welcome defending Premier League champions Arsenal to the Stadium of Light on Saturday, with the Black Cats facing a major test against one of the early favourites for another league title.

Sunderland impressed on their return to the Premier League last season, finishing seventh and securing European football thanks largely to their excellent home form. They will be hoping the Stadium of Light can once again become a difficult place for visiting teams.

The Black Cats have already recorded a home victory over Fulham this season and followed that up with an EFL Cup win against Hull City. However, their league campaign has also included a 2-1 defeat against promoted Ipswich Town and a 1-1 draw with Brentford.

Arsenal, on the other hand, have started the season in impressive fashion.

The Gunners opened the campaign with a commanding 3-0 victory over Manchester City in the Community Shield, before winning their first three Premier League matches. Their latest league victory came against Chelsea, where they produced a comeback to secure a valuable 2-1 win.

Arsenal then travelled to Napoli in midweek Champions League action and returned home with another victory, this time a hard-fought 1-0 win.

That result extended their excellent run to five wins in their last six matches, and they will head to Sunderland full of confidence.

• Sunderland has won just one of their last 29 matches against Arsenal.

• Arsenal is unbeaten in their last 17 Premier League matches against Sunderland.

• Sunderland last beat Arsenal 2-0 in the fifth round of the FA Cup 2011/12 at home.

• Arsenal is unbeaten in their last 14 overall matches against Sunderland.

• Sunderland last season held Arsenal to a 2-2 draw at home.

• Arsenal has won five of their last six matches in the Premier League, while scoring less than two goals in each outing.

Betting Tips

• Primary Pick: Arsenal to Win

• Alternative: Arsenal win or Draw

• Value Bet: Arsenal & Over 1.5 Goals

Event #2 – English Premier League

Manchester United vs Manchester City

Sunday – 10:30 AM

Manchester Derby Showdown!

Old Trafford takes centre stage on Sunday as Manchester United hosts Manchester City in one of the biggest fixtures of the Premier League weekend.

Expect goals, drama, and plenty of intensity when these two rivals meet.

Manchester United has produced an unpredictable start to the season. They suffered a surprise 2-0 defeat against promoted Hull City before bouncing back with a spectacular 5-2 victory over Ipswich Town.

They were then twice ahead against Everton but were forced to settle for a 2-2 draw, after conceding a late equaliser. The Red Devils will therefore be desperate to put together a complete performance against their neighbours.

Manchester City, meanwhile, has made a perfect start to their Premier League campaign, winning all three of their league matches. However, Enzo Maresca’s side has not had everything their own way.

City came from behind to beat Bournemouth 2-1, scoring late to secure all three points, before edging promoted Coventry 1-0 last weekend. Despite those narrow victories, City has now won four consecutive matches across domestic and European competitions and will enter the derby with confidence.

With United looking dangerous going forward but showing defensive vulnerabilities, and City also being tested in their opening matches, this derby has all the ingredients for an entertaining encounter.

• Man. United has conceded 2+ goals in their first three league matches of a season for only the second time in 50 years, they have also won four matches in a row at home.

• Man. City has won all three Premier League matches this season without leading at halftime in two of them.

• Man. United is unbeaten in their last two Manchester derbies at Old Trafford, but they have lost eight of the last 16 such matches.

• Man. City lost 2-0 against United the last time they travelled to Old Trafford back in January. Since then, they have been unbeaten in their last seven away matches.

• Man. City Erling Haaland’s goal against Coventry last week was his 300th senior career goal.
