FORMER champions Munro College and Rusea’s High continued their rampage in the first round of the ISSA daCosta Cup football competition with big wins over Mount St Joseph Catholic and Green Island High, respectively, on Friday.

Both were winning for the third-consecutive game.

Former national youth representative Kajaye Williams scored five times as Munro College hammered Mount St Joseph Catholic 13-0, while Omarion Jemmison struck a hat-trick for Rusea’s High in their 5-1 win over their close rivals.

However, Brown’s Town High’s electric start ended at two wins after they were held 1-1 by Cedric Titus High in the Zone C game at York Castle High School.

Williams scored five times while Jayquan Mitchell scored a hat-trick as Munro College handed Mount St Joseph a third-straight loss.

Kashane Beckford, Carlos Martin, Tevaughorn Ballin, Waiden Mitchell and an own goal accounted for the other strikes.

Jemmison took his tally to five goals on the season while Cory Palmer scored a brace as Rusea’s continued to steamroll the competition.

St James High, the 2009 champions, registered back-to-back wins after a 3-2 triumph over Herbert Morrison Technical who were losing for the first time this season.

Davano Brown, who had scored in St James High’s 1-0 win over Muschett High on Wednesday, struck two goals on Friday while Saudikee Williams got the other for the winners.

Hasani Nelson scored for Herbert Morrison with an own goal, cutting the margin to one.

Seven games are scheduled for this afternoon, with four schools — including Happy Grove High and Yallahs High who will meet in Zone H — going after a third-straight win .

Frome Technical and Alphansus Davis High are also going after a third-consecutive win when they take on Petersfield High and Holmwood Technical, respectively.
