HIGH-RIDING Norman Manley High are set to travel to Edith Dalton James High in the top-of-the-table Zone C clash as the second set of ISSA Manning Cup games continues across the Corporate Area on Saturday.

In the other games in Zone C, Ardenne High host Kingston Technical High and Pembroke Hall High make their debut against Denham Town. All games are scheduled to begin at 3:30 pm.

In Zone A, Holy Trinity High host Jonathan Grant, Camperdown High travel to Ascot High, and Greater Portmore High play their first game against Waterford High at the Royal Lakes field.

There are three games also in Zone B, with Innswood High travelling to Clan Carthy High, Jose Marti Technical hosting Penwood High, and St Mary’s College welcoming Papine High for their first game of the season.

Edith Dalton James High stunned Denham Town High 2-1 on Wednesday and now have their eyes on Norman Manley, as both lead Zone C with three points. Norman Manley hold the edge based on a better goal difference, after trouncing Ardenne High 9-0.

A win for either Edith Dalton James or Norman Manley would give them sole leadership of the zone and a good position from which to progress to the second round.

Denham Town will be looking to rebound and secure their first point when they face Pembroke Hall who will be playing their first game of the season.

In Zone A, Ascot High, coming off an opening day draw, will be hoping to secure their first victory when they take on Camperdown High at the Dunbeholden playing field. Camperdown, who last won the Manning Cup in 1982, are coming off a close 1-0 win over former champions Bridgeport High.

Holy Trinity lead the zone with three points after dismissing Waterford High 2-0, and will be looking to consolidate top spot when they take on Jonathan Grant High.

Penwood High and St Mary’s College lead Zone B with three points, following surprise wins on Wednesday. Penwood whipped Clan Carthy 3-0 and St Mary’s College edged Jose Marti Technical 1-0.

Penwood travel to Jose Marti and are fancied to secure three more points while St Mary’s College face Papine High in an interesting matchup.

Clan Carthy High will also be searching for their first points when they welcome Innswood High. After an opening setback, Clan Carthy will be eager to respond in front of their home supporters.

With nine matches on the schedule, Saturday’s action should provide another important snapshot of the teams’ ambitions as the Manning Cup season gathers momentum and they position themselves for spots in the second round.
