Beenie Man joins forces with Rorey Baker on Brawdah
Dancehall legend Beenie Man has partnered with acclaimed producer and engineer Rorey Baker for the release of
Brawdah, a new single issued August 21, 2026.
Now available on all major digital streaming and download platforms, the release comprises two versions of the track — the original mix and the Brawdah (Dancehall Fix).
Produced by Rorey Baker and Tiuke Taumoepeau, Brawdah delivers a high-energy dancehall sound designed for peak party moments.
The track’s title is drawn from Jamaican patois, in which “brawdah” translates to broader in English, and the song pays tribute to women with fit, well-toned physiques.
Since its release, Brawdah has received strong support from dancehall selectors across Jamaica and in international markets.
Along with the two veterans — Beenie Man and Baker — credits include Chaka Demus & Pliers’ hit single Friends, and the original soundtrack to the acclaimed film Dancehall Queen, among numerous other projects across the genre.
Baker’s career was shaped in its early stages by mentorship from reggae and dancehall pioneers Sly Dunbar and Robbie Shakespeare. In the years since, Baker has established himself as one of the industry’s most respected sonic architects, contributing to the evolution of contemporary reggae and dancehall music.
Brawdah is out now on all major platforms via Baker’s One Pop Music imprint.
