It was a win built on patience.

Seven-year-old American-bred chestnut horse Of A Revolution rewarded his connections for staying the course on Saturday, September 26 when he powered home to land the $1.25-million Blumenthal Trophy over 6 ½ furlongs (1,300m) at Caymanas Park.

The Anthony Nunes trainee, partnered by Tyrese Anderson, made it two wins for the season with a workmanlike 2 ½ -length victory in the Overnight Allowance for three-year-olds and upward, stopping the clock in a neat 1:19.3.

He was away cleanly and briefly held the lead, but Anderson was happy to let first-timer and fellow American import Fit to Fire (Reyan Lewis) take up the running at the five-furlong (1,000m) pole.

Of A Revolution sat chilly just off the pace, tracking Fit to Fire into the half-mile (800m) turn. Approaching the distance, Anderson asked him to go and the chestnut horse responded, retaking command with a minimum of fuss.

Once in the lane he found another gear, striding out strongly through splits of 23.4, 47.0 and 1:12.3 to pull clear. Fit to Fire held on well for second on debut, while Wall Street Trader (Nicardo Carr) ran on for third.
