MDS brings Splirt Hydration, ‘Pet & Pamper’ experience to True Pet Food Expo 2026
Medical Disposables & Supplies Limited (MDS), distributor of True Pet Food, will host two interactive stations at the True Pet Food Expo 2026 on Sunday at the Kingston Polo Club, Caymanas Estate.
Patrons will be able to refuel at the Splirt “Purrrfect” Rehydration Fuel Station and unwind at the “Pet & Pamper” station, featuring a selection of MDS beauty brands, as the Expo staged its fifth edition under the theme “Dogs vs Cats: The Ultimate Pet Showdown.”
Since its launch in 2022, the True Pet Expo has become a fixture on Jamaica’s pet calendar, with recent stagings drawing over 2,000 patrons, 35 exhibitors, 12 sponsors and over 100 breeders.
Speaking on MDS’s participation, Tricia Dawson, Corporate Business Development Manager – MDS noted that the continued growth of the local pet industry and expanded eco-system including the veterinarians, breeders, trainers, shelters and small businesses reaffirms the company’s expansion into the space.
“Pets are part of the family in a growing number of Jamaican homes, and as our local industry continues to grow and develop around their care, MDS is proud to support the people building it. On Sunday (October 4), the True Pet Food Expo brings us all together in one place. We are looking forward to meeting more of our customers and to serving them in a different way that shows our love for all members of their family,” Dawson stated.
At the Splirt “Purrrfect” Rehydration Fuel Station, patrons will receive a complimentary Splirt sample on entry. With a full day of agility runs, costume contests and exhibitor booths ahead, the
station gives pet owners an easy way to stay hydrated in the Sunday heat.
The “Pet & Pamper” station turns the focus to the people behind the pets. Patrons can enjoy a light hand massage and a face spritz refresh featuring products from Tree Hut, Benjamins Cosmetics and True & Natural and Naked Care All Natural Soap Bars.
“The Expo is a full day outdoors, so we have planned for comfort. Splirt gets patrons off to a
refreshing start, and the Pet & Pamper station gives owners a few minutes to relax while their pets take centre stage. Pet owners devote much of their time to caring for their animals so we’re offering them a moment of care in return,” added Dawson.
This year’s Dogs vs. Cats theme highlights the distinct qualities, care needs and personalities of both pets. The programme includes a dog agility versus cat obstacle challenge, a dogs-versus-cats costume battle, veterinary talks on dog and cat care, and adoption drives that connect animals with new homes. The Expo is also the stage for the True Pet Industry Awards, now in its third year.
Decided by public vote, the awards recognise veterinarians, animal shelters, retailers, kennels and other professionals contributing to the sector.
