That time I visited her house…

By VANESSA E CHAMBERS

Getting to know one another will at some point involve going to the other person’s house, an experience that the readers below say isn’t always pleasant.

Matthew, 36:

I have had a few experiences with going to women’s houses. Women will lie and say they are single, then you get to their house and another man turns up. I made a promise to myself that I won’t ever go to another woman’s house.

Sean, 41:

Sometimes a woman will invite you over and when you get there, she lives with her family and it’s an overcrowded space. I’d much rather take her out or invite her to my place.

Brian, 28:

I went to a girl’s house once. I drove up to her gate and she told me to park down the road because her sister was coming over and she drove so she didn’t want me blocking the driveway. I said OK, but asked why I needed to park all the way down the road. She kept insisting, so I parked there. The minute I got out of the car, a SUV pulled up at the gate. I stood and watched a man walk out and she hugged him and went inside the house. I then got in my car. My phone dinged, and I got a message from her saying her ex had called and said he was coming over, and that he would be leaving soon. She needed some time to get rid of him. I blocked her immediately and drove off. She took me for some clown, knowing she had a man and putting me in danger by inviting me over.

Nicholas, 35:

I don’t just jump and go to a woman’s house. I have to really trust her because some women do nothing but play games.
