JMMB strikes a balance for juggling moms
JMMB is continuing a practical approach to help mothers cope with balancing motherhood and personal development through its Juggling Mom initiative — a dynamic event on how to balance work, family, fitness and finances. The most recent edition was held at the Jamaica Pegasus Hotel on May 31.
According to Kerry-Ann Stimpson, group marketing manager at JMMB, “The JMMB story is that we were co-founded by Joan Duncan, a Jamaican woman who believed in the transformational power of love. A mother of five children herself, she built JMMB on the core values of love, integrity, honesty, openness and care. Having experienced the demands of being a working mother herself, she sought to create a working environment that helped to foster the greatness of women. Based on her legacy, and the JMMB story, this event was a natural fit for us.”
In explaining the concept, Stimpson says they wanted to create an event where mothers could come to be encouraged, feel empowered, and talk about topics that are important to them.
“The name Juggling Mom came about when we thought of all the areas that mothers had to balance and the daily challenges they face,” she said.
The event included presentations on women’s health and wellness, balancing sexual fitness, and creating balance with finances.
