Would you forgive him if he cheated while drunk?

Would you forgive him if he cheated while drunk?

By Miss Kes

It can be surmised that infidelity, like any other act, is a choice. But there are also some people who believe that it all depends on the situation one is in. We asked several women to give their honest feedback – if they would overlook their man cheating if he was drunk.

Carra:

Absolutely not! Reason is simple – if you cannot manage liquor, don’t touch it. I think it is even worse to be straight up, because it would come off to me as not thinking about me but doing whatsoever he wants. So I would quickly end that charade of a relationship.

BT:

I actually went through this – it was me. I went to this event and I guess I got carried away with a few drinks and I ended up sleeping with this random guy at the party. I still haven’t told my fiancé about it and I probably won’t because I simply do not want to lose my relationship over a guy I don’t even know. I am not judgmental because things happen in life and you have regrets, so I would forgive because I found myself in the same situation and I am extremely regretful of it happening but I legitimately did not know what I was doing in the moment.

Diane:

Cheating – whether it is sober or drunk cheat – is still cheating and I am sorry but I could not overlook someone who not only messes with my heart, but destroys my trust. I cannot overlook things like that so once I am aware of my partner cheating, it is best to part company.

Andrene:

I had to forgive my man for more than that. Love is all about forgiveness. I am not saying to be a fool and to let a man walk over you, but if he was completely not conscious of what he was doing, there is no way you can burn a man for that. I am just saying as you grow older, you learn deeper.

Anna:

I am not sure what exactly I would do in the moment if I found out my man was drunk and cheated on me. It sounds horrifying, but I am really on the borderline of what I would do and how I would react.
