JMMB Joan Duncan Foundation supports summer programme targeting deaf students
THE Jamaica Association for the Deaf and Hope United hosted a week-long programme — which ended July 27 — catering to over 100 children, including members of the deaf community. The initiative sought to promote their social, spiritual and cultural development. During the week the children, with the assistance of volunteers and facilitators, were engaged in arts and crafts, performing arts, martial arts, sports, and Bible- related activities. The JMMB Joan Duncan Foundation provided financial support for the initiative as part of its outreach efforts.
