Vows – We Belong Together
A love story seven years in the making got its picture-perfect culmination when university sweethearts, analyst Laura Jamieson and compensation advisor Justin Sutton wed on Tuesday, January 8 at Borghinvilla, Discovery Bay. Justin proposed to Laura on October 20, 2017 at a beautiful dinner at their home. Vows takes a peek into their special day.
The ceremony
With Edwin McCain’s I’ll Be playing in the background, the bridesmaids made their way up the aisle in stunning blush chiffon dresses from Azazie and embellished sandals from Le Chateau. They were escorted by the charming groomsmen who wore navy blue pants and long-sleeved white shirts from Mario Uomo with blush bow ties. The bridegroom was nattily attired in a navy blue Mario Uomo tuxedo.
Laura appeared to glide to her bridegroom to the strains of Chase Rice’s E yes On You, escorted by her father Terry Jamieson. She was gorgeous in an ivory Mikaella Bridal-designed open-back mermaid-style gown with lace top and plain crepe bottom from With Love Bridal Boutique in Ottawa, Ontario.
The ceremony was officiated by Reverend Courtney Walters.
The reception
Family, friends and the bridal party converged under the tent on the cliffside at Borghinvilla where the classic romantic cliffside wedding celebration continued. The area was decorated with shades of white, blush and green. The wedding party entered to OutKast’s The Way You Move featuring Sleepy Brown, after which Laura and Justin danced their way in to Beyoncé’s Crazy In Love featuring Jay-Z. The evening continued with the unveiling of the two-tiered fruitcake from Joy of Foods, and a hearty reception dinner catered by the Borghinvilla team. Further highlights were the couple’s first dance to Russell Dickerson’s Yours and the mother-and-son and father-and-daughter dance to Aaron Pritchett’s When a Momma’s Boy Meets a Daddy’s Girl, after which guests danced the night away. Laura and her dad did a private lantern release to commemorate her mother.
The newly-weds spent a fun week away with family and friends and are planning a honeymoon for Europe in 2020.
