Rum-Bar raises the bar in Portland for Vibes Fest

The grand Portland clock tower stood tall in the square, draped in the yellow, black, and green emblem of the Rum-Bar Jamaica marquee, signalling the beginning of Rum-Bar’s Vibes Fest, the islandwide concert series that touched down in Port Antonio late last month.

Christopher Williams, known as Bigga 5, Portland’s beloved DJ, towered over the crowd with his larger-than-life persona. He summoned the signature Rum-Bar dancers to the stage dressed in curve-hugging costumes, and later 6ix Boss, his very own vibes master to the latest beats.

Entertainer and social media personality Keticia “TC” Chatman commanded the stage. Initially, the crowd seemed shy, but throngs fill the square under TC’s trance.

Swedish vacationers Maria Beznja and Anna Nordström caused a commotion when they joined TC onstage to attempt the latest Drift dance move.

The crowd in Port Antonio was left shaken after Kash Promise Move, fresh off his first-ever plane ride to the Bahamas, brought the heat with his performance of Bandulu.

At midnight the crowd erupted as Shane, with a white tee draped over his face, started singing a capella as he walked onstage. His iconic performance of 7 Jacket had patrons pulling out their phones to capture the moment. He would later drop his 2018 hit Partner Draw and Dark Room (2022).

Rum-Bar raised the bar for this concert series. One patron said it “will go down in history”.
