Top-ranking Tivoli gang member killed – cops
KINGSTON, Jamaica – A man who the Kingston Western police says was a top-ranking gang member from Tivoli Gardens was shot dead in that community on Wednesday.
He is 30-year-old Ryan Bembridge otherwise called ‘Little Blacks’, from Golden Heights, Kingston 14.
Police said Bembridge had been listed as a person of interest several times and was asked to hand himself over to the authorities, but refused on many occasions.
It was reported that around 3:09 pm, police acting on information, went to Bustamante Highway in Tivoli Gardens, where Bembridge’s body was seen lying on its left side.
The police said the body had what appeared to be gunshot wounds to the head. The scene was processed, and the body removed to hospital where it was confirmed dead.
No motive for the killing was provided.
