Yohan Blake signs with Puma
KINGSTON, Jamaica – Yohan Blake, the second-fastest man in history over the 100m and 200m, has signed with German apparel manufacturer Puma.
Puma made the announcement in a post on Instagram on Wednesday.
“A new chapter begins. Welcome @yohanblake to the PUMA family. #ForeverFaster,” Puma said.
Blake, who was the fastest Jamaican male athlete after a 9.85 seconds clocking at the JAAA/Puma National Senior Trials last year, had signed with Adidas for most of his career.
He became the youngest man to win the 100m at the World Athletics Championships in Daegu, South Korea in 2011.
At the London Olympics in 2012, he copped silver medals in the sprint double, and was part of the world record-breaking 4x100m team alongside Usain Bolt, Michael Frater and Nesta Carter.
Blake has recorded the second-fastest times over the events of 9.69 and 19.26.
