Katherine Jackson sued for $13m

Katherine Jackson sued for $13m

Katherine Jackson is sued for $13m to settle old debt as she rubbishes claims Debbie Rowe wants custody of children

Michael Jackson’s mother is being sued for $13 million by a South Korean newspaper which hopes to recoup the costs of a cancelled tour.

If granted, the payout would wipe out much of Katherine’s income from Michael Jackson’s estate, meant to support her while she cares for his children. The Segye Times has filed papers with the Michael Jackson estate, informing the court it has a judgement dating back to 1994 against Mrs Jackson for $4 million.

The newspaper claims it advanced Mrs Jackson, husband Joe and son Jermaine $5.5 million for a series of Jackson family concerts which never took place. According to US website TMZ, the papers state that with interest the judgement now exceeds $13 million.

The newspaper is asking for an order from the judge forcing the estate to pay it any money it might be planning to give to Mrs Jackson. It comes as Mrs Jackson, 80, gave her first TV interview since her son’s death — revealing she did not meet the singer’s ex-wife until after he died.

She said her first meeting with Debbie Rowe — themother of two of Michael’s children — took place when they were mourning his death. Mrs Jackson rubbished reports that the former nurse was fighting for custody of Prince Michael and Paris, and described how they “clicked right away”.

Transformers star Megan Fox gets married!

Megan Fox and her new husband Brian Austin Green snuggle up and watch the sunset together following their surprise wedding last week. The actors, who met on the set of the film Hope And Faith six years ago, wed in a secret ceremony in front of just half a dozen people in Hawaii last Thursday.

A spokesman for the Beverly Hills, 90210 actor confirmed to UsMagazine.com that the couple became husband and wife on June 24, with Brian’s eight-year-old son Kassius present at the ceremony. An online report emerged last week that the Transformers star walked up the aisle at the Four Seasons on the Big Island.

After confirming their marriage on Monday, the couple was happy to be photographed together enjoying a romantic stroll on the beach at sunset. Wearing a pink summer dress, white flip-flops and glasses, Fox looked smitten with her husband as they gazed into each other’s eyes and shared jokes together. The couple looked totally at ease with each other.

Megan and Brian first began dating in 2004, but broke up in February 2009 after a two-year engagement. They reconciled and he popped the question for a second time on June 1. The 24-year-old actress — who next stars in Jonah Hex alongside Josh Brolin — said: “we are even more committed to each other and we always have been. I am more in love with him now than I was in the beginning.”

It is the first marriage for both. Megan was just 18 when she met the ex-90210 actor, who was 30 at the time, and the pair have been on and off ever since. Reports surfaced two weeks ago that Fox, 24 and Green, 36 had become engaged again.

Supermodel Naomi Campbell reveals shocking bald patch on shoot

Her wild behaviour is often shocking, but Naomi Campbell caused jaws to drop for entirely different reasons yesterday.

The supermodel left onlookers stunned as she revealed a huge bald patch beneath her wig while on a fashion shoot in New York yesterday. The 40-year-old has revealed signs of a vanishing hairline before, but the true extent of the problem was on show after a gust of wind caught her off guard while posing at a gas station in the Meatpacking district.

It appears that years of wearing tight hair extensions have taken a toll on the model’s natural hair, causing severe breakage. Hair loss associated with hair braiding, weaving, and extensions is known as “traction alopecia”. Paris Hilton and Britney Spears are both reported to have suffered similar symptoms as a result of their extensions.
