Of A Revolution returns for The Viceroy Trophy
Of A Revolution (USA) returns to take on rivals in tomorrow’s $1.75-million The Viceroy Trophy, a Graded Stakes/Open Allowance contest for three-year-olds and upward going 5 ½ furlongs (1,100m).
Below, the Jamaica Observer’s The Supreme Racing Guide takes a closer look at each runner and their chances of winning.
1. OF A REVOLUTION (USA): (7 ch h MacLean’s Music – Hot Spell) – Destroyed rivals on March 7, winning by 3 ¼ lengths in 1:07.0 over this exact trip. Beaten by Pack Plays on Jan 31 going 6 ½ furlongs (1,300m), but this cut back distance will suit him to the max. Of A Revolution has been timely prepared for this and could run these off their legs if he repeats.
2. PACK PLAYS (USA): (5 dk b/br h Stay Thirsty – Standard Deal) – He did beat Of A Revolution before on January 31 and ran brave last time, finishing second by 9 lengths behind Legacy Isle over 5 furlongs on May 2. If he gets first run, he can win this again.
3. NEO STAR: (7 b h Neolithic – Angel Dreams) – Only in this race to make up numbers. Did not show form to threaten here.
4. SIR DON (USA): (3 b c Spun to Run – Enamored) – He did run the worst race of his life last time, finishing 8th by 40+ lengths behind Legacy Isle’s record in the Eros Trophy June 6. Expected Sir Don to follow home the top two.
5. SUPREMASI: (5 b h Savoy Stomp – Beware Baby) – Has no realistic chance of winning.
6. WALL STREET TRADER (USA): (7 dk b/br g Vancouver – Selva) – Not doing that badly. He should be in the running for third place here.
