Update: Man charged for Manchester double murder
MANCHESTER, Jamaica — Police have charged 32-year-old Ramalio Miles of Bonnie View Terrace, Melrose Mews, Manchester, in connection with the double murder that occurred on Caledonia main road in Mandeville on Saturday, July 18.

The deceased have been identified as 24-year-old Deneekia Pounall of Heartease district, Mandeville, Manchester, and 21-year-old Sadefa Henry, a deliveryman of Marvel Close, Greenvale, Mandeville, Manchester.
Reports are that about 7:30 pm Miles was travelling aboard a taxi with Pounall and Henry. Upon reaching a section of the aforementioned roadway, Miles requested to exit the vehicle. Shortly after he exited, several explosions were heard. It was later discovered that Pounall and Henry had sustained gunshot wounds. They were taken to the hospital, where they were pronounced dead.
Police investigations led to Miles’ arrest. On Saturday, July 25, he was positively identified during an identification parade. He was subsequently charged with two counts of murder, four counts of shooting with intent, possession of a prohibited weapon, unauthorised possession of ammunition, and using a prohibited weapon to commit a felony.
Meanwhile, Deputy Superintendent Odean Dennis, commanding officer for the Manchester Division, says the police are working assiduousdly to reduce incidents of violent crimes in the parish.
