Fireman killed in St Mary
KINGSTON, Jamaica – A fireman was on Tuesday stabbed and killed by an unknown assailant in Racecourse, Oracabessa, St Mary.
He is 39-year-old Kevin Bariffe of Galina in the parish.
Reports from the Oracabessa police are that about 12:50 pm, Bariffe and his attacker were patrons at a bar when a dispute developed between them.
A knife was used to stab Bariffe in the right side. He was assisted to hospital where he was pronounced dead.
There are unconfirmed reports that the argument was about policeman Shane Francis, who was killed by a licensed firearm holder in St Ann on Sunday, April 17.
Since the death of the policeman, several people have been making controversial statements on social media regarding the policeman’s personality.
