JUTC communications manager to represent PNP in St Catherine WC
ST CATHERINE, Jamaica — Clinton Clarke, communications manager for the Jamaica Urban Transit Company, is set to represent the People’s National Party (PNP) in St Catherine West Central in the next general election.
Clarke was among the speakers at the PNP mass rally now under way in Independence City in Portmore, St Catherine.
Alluding to the Jamaica Labour Party’s (JLP’s) release of their campaign song ‘Roll Call’ last week, Clarke said: “…Former councillor name a call, former MP name a call, wanna be MP name a call, but mek mi tell you something, my name cyaah call.”
He added that he knows for sure, PNP leader and Prime Minister Portia Simpson Miller’s name can’t be called.
The supporters decked in orange went into a frenzy, jumping and waving orange flags and blowing horns.
Meanwhile, PNP representative for St Catherine South West, Ruddy Ernst, assured delegates that he will challenge and unseat the Jamaica Labour Party’s Everald Warmington.
“I have a message for St Catherine from the comrades, they said to tell you they are going to join with me,” he said.
Ernst added: “They are going to write a retirement plan for that man that can’t keep down him middle finger”.
