Men found with housebreaking tool to know fate today
KINGSTON, Jamaica – Two men who were recently found with a steel cutter in the wee hours of the morning in downtown Kingston, will know their fate today.
Adive King, 25, and 18-year-old Anthony Walker, both of Kingston addresses, pleaded guilty to possession of housebreaking implement.
Reports are that approximately 2:55 am on October 5, both men were seen on West Street in the vicinity of the Waltham Park taxi stand.
They were asked to stop. One of the men stopped, while the other, who was allegedly carrying a bag, attempted to hide the bag in a nearby stall.
The men were apprehended and the bag, which reportedly contained the steel cutter, retrieved.
When they appeared in the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate’s Court last week, the men begged Senior Magistrate Judith Pusey to give them a second chance.
“I don’t like it round there,” King uttered.
“You cyaa tell mi say u nuh like it around there and you walking with housebreaking instrument,” Pusey said.
Their sentence date was subsequently set for today and fingerprint orders made for both men.
