Save the Children-supported maternity hospital bombed in north Syria
BEIRUT, Lebanon (AFP) — A maternity hospital supported by Save the Children was bombed Friday in Idlib province of northwest Syria, causing casualties and heavy damage, the Britain-based charity said.
The UK Twitter account for Save the Children tweeted: “Save the Children supported maternity hospital in #Idlib bombed, casualties reported – numbers unconfirmed”.
It said the hospital in Kafar Takharim was heavily damaged and left barely operational. It later also tweeted video of rubble, while expressing horror at the bombing.
