Teen arrested at airport for cocaine hidden in liquor bottles
KINGSTON, Jamaica – A woman who allegedly attempted to smuggle cocaine inside three liquor bottles was arrested and charged at the Norman Manley International Airport (NMIA), on Sunday.
A team of officers attached to the NMIA arrested and charged 19-year-old Aralenna Sheridinno Nelson, a receptionist of Morningside Avenue in Toronto, Canada with breaches of the Dangerous Drugs Act. .
Reports are that about 5:45 pm, Nelson was in the process of boarding a flight destined for Canada when she was accosted and her luggage searched.
It was discovered that a carton box she was carrying contained three liquor bottles with cocaine inside.
She is scheduled to appear before the St Andrew Parish Court on Friday, July 29.
