Meet Kevin, Wynn(er), Rosehall Resort’s Associate of the Year
Most Montegonians associate Kevin Wynn with football because he used to play for St James’ Seba United team.
But although he’s still pretty good at kicking the ball around – albeit for fun nowadays – his biggest scores are taking place in the hospitality industry where he recently copped the Rosehall Resort’s Associate of the Year award, for excelling in the role of lead houseman.
Born to parents Delbert Wynn and Peggy Graham on October 7, 1971, he attended the Glendevon All-Age and then Anchovy Secondary schools.
He was recruited from Anchovy by Herbert Morrison Technical High School eager to capitalise on his football talents. He also captained the Glendevon football team before being recruited by Steve Bucknor to the Seba team where he played midfield for a season before giving it up to be with his girlfriend.
On graduating from Herbert Morrison, he went to work with Sandals Royale as a houseman, a position from which he was again recruited by Thelma Malcolm a manager at Rosehall resort, formerly the Wyndham Rosehall resort.
That was some 14 years ago.
Today the father of two envisions going back to school someday to enhance his education, which he put on hold in order to provide for his family.
In the meantime, he’s determined to press on with the job of ensuring that he keeps those who work around him motivated.
