TWENTY-seven-year-old Roderick Frazer otherwise called Marvin of Zambia, Central Village, St Catherine was shot and killed by gunmen in his community yesterday.
Police said about 5:30 pm, Frazer was standing on a bridge in the community when he was approached by gunmen who shot him repeatedly, killing him on the spot: they then fled. The Portmore Homicide Unit is investigating.
NATALIE Thompson, 26, otherwise called ‘Cathy’ of Wellside Lane, Church Pen, Old Harbour, St Catherine was shot dead by a gunman at her home last night.
Police said about 8:00 pm, Thompson was sitting on her verandah when she was approached by a man armed with a gun. The gunman opened fire hitting her several times before escaping in a waiting motor vehicle. She was taken to the Spanish Town Hospital where she was pronounced dead.
The Old Harbour Police is appealing to anyone with information that can lead to the arrest of Natalie Thompson’s killer to contact them at 983-2255, police emergency 119 numbers or the nearest police station.
DETECTIVES from the Montego Bay CIB in St James are investigating the shooting death of a 40-year-old man at Peter Pan Avenue, Brandon Hill in the parish last night.
Dead is Fredrick Dixon of Long Bay in the parish.
Police said about 9:40 pm, residents heard gunshots in the area and called the police. Investigators found Dixon’s body with multiple gunshot wounds along the roadway.
The police are asking persons with information that can help in solving this murder to contact them at 953-6191, 952-4997, Crime Stop at 311, police emergency 119 numbers or the nearest police station.
TWO men were shot, one fatally by gunmen at Tank Road, Cambridge, St James last night.
Dead is 26-year-old Dwayne Hyatt while injured is a 24-year-old man both of Tank Road.
Police said about 10:45 pm, the two where at a party in the community when a motor car drove up. Gunmen got out of the car and open fire, hitting them. The gunmen escaped in the motor car. Both men were taken to hospital where Hyatt was pronounced dead and the 24-year-old man treated and released.
The Montego Bay CIB is investigating.
