THE body of 24-year-old Jabari Black was found hanging from an ackee tree at his home at Scarlett Hall, Runaway Bay, St Ann yesterday morning.

The police’s information arm, the Constabulary Communication Network, reported that about 8:15 am a family member discovered the body and alerted the police.

The man, who was seen hanging from the tree by a piece of electrical wire, reportedly suffered from a mental condition.

The police removed to the body to the morgue for a post-mortem.

Unidentified man shot dead in Bridgeport

An unidentified man, believed to be in the early 30s, was shot dead by an unknown assailant at Quarry Drive in Bridgeport, St Catherine yesterday afternoon.

His body is of dark complexion, slim build and about 173 centimetres (5 feet 8 inches) long. It was clad in a blue jeans pants and white T-shirt.

Police said the man was walking along Quarry Drive when he was shot by a man travelling in a grey Nissan Sunny motor car. The police were called, the crime scene processed and his body removed to the morgue for post-mortem and identification.
