Police blotters: woman stabs husband to death

Dead is 43-year-old Sherman Little. The identity the woman is being with held pending further investigations.
Police said about 8:00 pm, the couple had a quarrel that escalated into a scuffle during which the woman reportedly pulled a knife and stabbed Little.
He was taken to the Princess Margaret Hospital where he was pronounced dead. The woman turned herself in to police shortly after the incident.
The Morant Bay Police are investigating.
Man arrested in Washington Gardens firearm seizure
A man was arrested and taken into custody after he was found in possession of an illegal firearm and ammunition at Whitney Drive, Washington Gardens, Kingston 20, yesterday night.
His name is being withheld pending further investigation.
Police said about 11:35 pm, a patrol in the area saw the man in a section of the community acting suspiciously. He was accosted and searched and a 9mm Vikings pistol serial number 0544601030 with a magazine containing ten 9mm cartridges was taken from him.
The Duhaney Park CIB is investigating.
ONE man was shot dead and another shot and injured by gunmen at St John’s Road, St Catherine yesterday.
Dead is Alkirk Thompson, 33, of St John’s Road while injured is a 40-year-old man.
Police said about 6:20 pm, the victims were at a construction site when a black car drove up. Occupants of the vehicle alighted and shot them before driving away. They were taken to hospital where Thompson was pronounced dead and the other man admitted in serious condition.
The St Catherine North Homicide Unit is investigating.
NINTEEN-year-old Dwight Sterling otherwise called ‘Della’ of Browns Lane, Kingston 11 was shot dead by police after allegedly engaging them in a shootout in his community yesterday. An illegal firearm was taken from Sterling afterwards.
Police said about 1:00 am, they were on an assignment in the area when the teen opened fire at them. Police return the fire and he was shot. A Taurus 9mm pistol serial number B57351 with a magazine containing nine 9mm cartridges was taken from him.
He was transported to the Kingston Public Hospital where he was pronounced dead. The Bureau of Special Investigations is investigating.
