Goofy, LA Lewis for The Settlement in St Thomas tonight
Queen Paula vs. Lisa Hyper

Goofy, LA Lewis for The Settlement in St Thomas tonight

Anticipation is high for Sheek Connection’s The Settlement, a lyrical battle of words among at least four dancehall acts of varying experience and ability in this arena.

Top of the bill is the clash between Mr G (Goofy) and dancehall’s self-proclaimed ‘Big DJ’, L A Lewis, while females Lisa Hyper and Queen Paula will also have a duel.

The Goody/LA battle should have taken place at Sting 2009 but the absence of LA Lewis left the argument up in teh air and patrons’ clash appetite was unfulfilled. Almost two months later, the need for this argument to be settled is still great, and the promoters promise that this will be skillfully and harmoniously played out on stage tonight at Linkz in Yallahs, St Thomas.

“The excitement is feverish as it’s now time to put up or shut up for these top acts. But the evening isn’t all about battling as we all know that with Dancehall, it’s always a party,” a release from the promoters stated.

Stone Love will provide the juggling and the vibes along with a slew of hot selectors including Sky juice, DJ Bogie and ZJ Liquid. The Fluffy Queen Ms KItty and Mr Mix Up himself, Nuffy will play hosts at The Settlement.

… Lisa Hyper goes up against grizzled veteran, Queen Paula

This weekend, EME Awards Best New Artiste (Female) Lisa Hyper will be putting her rep on the line in her first ever clash, facing off against the grizzled veteran Queen Paula.

“Is either she go hard, or go home. We just ah do wi ting and ah represent. The people dem need fi come out, because this is Lisa Hyper’s first clash, dem hear me on the radio, and dem hear mi mixtape and know say mi ah go hard. Dem need fi come and see if mi hard live and direct,” Lisa Hyper said.

She is billed to appear at tonight’s The Settlement stage show at the Linkz Nightclub in St Thomas, as well as Shebada’s Birthday Party in Montego Bay, St James.

In the meantime, Paula has been sending out warnings that she will be coming to prove her clash dominance and will take on and wipe out all contenders — friend, fiend, family or foe.

Mr G vs LA Lewis
