Tigers face Cutters in Super Cricket League
Kingston Tigers will host the St Ann Cutters in a lone rescheduled game of the Jamaican Super Cricket League at Sabina Park today and tomorrow.
The match, which was originally scheduled to be played two weeks ago, was postponed by the Jamaica Cricket Association due to a clash of engagements at Sabina Park.
Next weekend will see the customary four matches in the competition.
The home team has accumulated 10 points from three matches, while St Ann are nine points from three.
St Ann will be without Under-19 players John Campbell and Hanchard Hamilton, who are currently in a national youth training camp. Responsibility will rest upon the shoulders of batsman Xavier Marshall and pacer Ricardo Dacres. Spinner Andre Dwyer and Patrick Harty Jnr are also expected to play a part.
In last week’s round, Marlon Pinnock and Marshall showed good form with the bat, while Dacres and Dwyer starred with the ball to lead St Ann to first innings honours over Westmoreland.
Kingston also took first innings points in their match against defending champions Manchester, as Simon Jackson struck 114.
Kingston will be without Nkrumah Bonner who has been named among the players called up for the Sagicor West Indies High Performance Centre, while Marshall is a part of the Jamaica Under-19 camp. The Tigers can, however, rely on national pacer Andrew Richardson to pull his weight in the bowling department.
