Second Hunt Memorial Classic a success
THE second renewal of the David ‘Wagga’ Hunt Memorial Football Classic was staged at the UWI Bowl yesterday, with a host of Meadhaven former players, supporters and friends of the late coach turning up to commemorate the life of a respected football personality.
In the feature game of the day, Kingston College led Calabar 2-0 at the end of the first half.
Earlier in the opening game, Real Mona’s Super League team defeated their Meadhaven counterparts 3-1, through a double from Matthew Ashaman and one from his cousin Geovanni Ashman. Lennox Creary netted Meadhaven’s consolation.
Meanwhile, Meadhaven Masters and Pelican Masters played to a scoreless tie in the afternoon’s second match.
